Copy Rotations
Member Types:

The Copy Rotations tool in ACEMAPP helps you quickly create new rotations based on existing rotations. You can adjust the rotation details and dates to meet your current placement needs. Each copied rotation is independent and has no link to the original rotation. This is separate from the Replicate Rotations process.

Step 1: Access Rotations

From your home page, click "Rotations".

Step 2: Select and Copy Rotations

Select the checkbox next to each rotation you want to copy. Click "Select". Select "Copy Selected" from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Review and Update the Selected Rotations

Review the rotations included on the form before entering the new rotation details.

  • Rotation Details: Rotations are organized by Partnership, Program, and Experience Type.
  • Remove a Rotation: Clear the checkbox next to any rotation you do not want to copy. The rotation will not be included when you submit the form.
  • Add Another Rotation: To add a rotation for the same Site, Program, and Experience Type, click "Add New Rotation" at the bottom of the table. Complete the new row with the appropriate rotation information.

Required fields are highlighted until they are complete. When all required information has been entered, the rotation is ready to submit.

Review the information for accuracy. Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: Each submitted rotation receives a new Rotation ID. Copied rotations are independent and are not linked to the rotations used to create them.

FAQ

Q: Should I use the replicate rotations process or the copy rotations process?
A: This depends on whether your organization is part of a consortium that has specified processes around replicating rotations. Please be sure to follow all guidelines set by your consortium.
Q: What is the difference between replicating rotations and copying rotations?
A: Replicating a rotation creates a new rotation that is traceable to the original rotation. The new rotation has a "previous ID," which is the rotation ID of the original rotation. Copying rotations creates a copy of the original rotation, with zero linkage to the original rotation.
Q: Is a copied rotation linked to the original rotation?
A: No. A copied rotation is a new, independent rotation with its own Rotation ID. There is no relationship between the copied rotation and the original rotation.
Q: Where do copied rotations go after I submit them?
A: New rotations will appear in either the "Bulk" or "Pending" tab, depending on your Rotation Status Configuration and the selections made while creating the rotations. You can review and update rotations while they are in Bulk or Pending status.
